Printing

Nashville Public Library offers black and white and color printing at all library locations. Print documents from the library's public computers or from your own laptop, tablet, or mobile device.

Printing Fees

Color Prints

  • Cost: 25¢ per page
  • Maximum print job is 20 pages ($5.00)
  • Machines accept single dollar bills and change (nickels, dimes, quarters). Larger bills are not accepted.

Black and White Prints

  • Cost: 10¢ per page
  • Maximum print job is 50 pages ($5.00)
  • Machines accept single dollar bills and change (nickels, dimes, quarters). Larger bills are not accepted.

Free Printing for Library Cardholders

Library card holders may print up to 100 black and white pages or 40 color pages (or any combination up to $10 in value) every month. 

How to Print

Print from a Library Public Computer

Send a document from a library public computer to a library printer. 

  1. Log in to a public computer.
  2. Send your print job to a printer.
  3. At the print station in the library, select "Release a Print Job."
  4. Pay for your prints. If you have a library card number, type that number so you can get free printing. 

Print from Your Laptop

Send a document from your personal computer to a library printer.

  1. Find your library's printing website.
  2. Fill out the form and upload your document and send it to a library printer. 
  3. Come to the library to print your document.
  4. At the print station in the library, select "Release a Print Job." Enter the email address you supplied and select your print job. If you have a library card number, type that so you can get free printing.

Print from Your Mobile Device

Send a document from your mobile device to a library printer.

  1. Get the PrinterOn App for your device (iOS or Android).
  2. Follow the in-app instructions to upload your document and send it to a library printer. Make sure you 
  3. Come to the library to print your document.
  4. At the print station in the library, select "Release a Print Job." Enter the email address you supplied and select your print job. If you have a library card number, type that so you can get free printing.

Email a Print to a Library Printer

You can email a print job to the library from home and pick it up later (similar to sending a print job to UPS or FedEx). 

  1. Find your library's printing email address
  2. Open a new email in your email program. Attach the file you want to print. Send that email to the library printing email address. 
  3. Come to the library to print your document.
