- This online service is available to residents of Davidson County and residents living within the Goodlettsville city limits 14 years of age or older. Those under 14 years of age should go to their nearest library to register for a library card.
- Those who live outside of Davidson County need to apply for a library card at the nearest Davidson County library. Beginning December 1st, 2005, the annual fee for nonresident membership is $40.
- When your completed application is received, it will be processed within 5 working days.
- Your library card will be mailed to you. If you do not receive your library card within two weeks of completing the library card application, please call 862-5789.
- Your library card will become active when you first present it at any Davidson County library location and show proof of ID. Accepted forms of ID:
- Driver's License
- Learner's Permit
- ID Only
- Felony ID
- School ID (if under 18)
- Nursing Home ID
- Special Institution ID
- Military ID
- Passport
Regulations
- Your library card may be used at any branch or facility of the Nashville Public Library. It is free to all residents of Davidson County.
- Your library card is for your own personal use. You are responsible for all materials borrowed on the card. Lost or damaged items must be paid for.
- Treat your library card as you would any other credit card: report lost or stolen cards immediately to prevent unauthorized use. Replacement cards:$1.00.
- The Library charges fines for materials kept past the due date, and reserves the right to refuse further service until overdue materials are returned and account balances paid. The library may employ a third party to assist in retrieving excessively overdue materials.
- Please report changes of name or address immediately.
- The information requested on this application is held in strict confidence
by Nashville Public Library, and is used for library purposes only.
