You can show your support of the Nashville Public Library system in a number of ways!
Friends of Nashville Public Library
Friends of Nashville Public Library is a 501 (c) 3 organization that supports the work of the library by advocacy and education, financial support for programs and projects, gift administration, and voluntarism. Every branch library has Friends, and all are joined together under the group's charter.
Nashville Public Library Foundation
The Nashville Public Library Foundation was formed in 1997 to ensure that funds are available to enhance and support the programs, endowment, and collections of the library, now and in the future. It is a 501 (c) 3 organization with a board that includes concerned citizens, Library Board members and philanthropic leaders whose participation secures Nashville's commitment to become a "great city with a great library."
Volunteer your time
The public library offers wonderful volunteer opportunities all over town! Find out more about what you can do to help.
Donate Materials
The public library welcomes donations of books and other materials. Books in like-new or good condition are gladly accepted. We also
welcome audios, videos, CDs and CD-ROMs. Library staff members screen all donated materials for potential addition to the
library's collections. Your generosity also helps the Friends of the
Library hold successful booksales. Find out how to donate materials to the library.
